Bitter, 4%

Comments: The first thing you notice about this beer is the aroma – hoppy, light and fresh. Typical tan colour, fine white head with reasonable retention. The use of aroma hops continues into the flavour, with hints of freshly cut grass and citrus, but without any hint of lemon-scented detergent. Malt characters and bittering hop both contribute in a definite way and are very well balanced, giving a round profile overall. At only 4%, this is hardly a high-alcohol beer, but has a robust flavour and a very clean hoppy finish. Some coppery flavours in the aftertaste, which would be better if they were a bit more attenuated, but otherwise an excellent beer.

Overall score: 7.5/10
